Neither the statement nor the list is missing here. What is missing is the route from one to the other.

Evidence for the price About what this price band usually documents
A country in a collapsible panel
On 31 July 2026 the 501 Original in a dark wash was checked, style 005013737, €60 on sale from €119.95, 100% cotton. Under “Composition and care” it reads:
Hergestellt in Pakistan
Made in Pakistan (German shop)
That is a clear statement, and it sits where you would expect it. It is, however, folded away: anyone skimming the page will not see it.
It does not appear in the page’s data sheet. Structured data is present — organisation, breadcrumb trail, reviews — but no origin field is among it.
518 facilities, with names and addresses
The corporate site carries a supplier map, technically an embedded Open Supply Hub view. It lists 518 facilities, each with a name and a full address.
That is one of the most usable forms such a list can take: openly accessible, processable, comparable across brands. GANT publishes its as a screenshot; here it sits in a database.
And in between there is nothing
The jeans say “Pakistan”. The list names 518 facilities across many countries. Which of those made these jeans does not follow from either source.
That is the gap running through this whole site, and it shows especially clearly here because both halves are exemplary. Mango has the same gap across 5,870 facilities, Ralph Lauren across 704.
A number on the label that appeared in the list would be enough. None of the houses we checked has one.
Where the disclosure ends
The link from product to facility.
And the company’s basic data on the pages checked.
The product page mentions “1873”, but in connection with the introduction of the 501, not as the company’s founding year. We therefore record none. Ownership is not named on the pages checked either.
How we checked
We went through the product page and the company pages by hand, opening every collapsible panel individually. All quotations appear in the brand’s own wording; figures and fields were verified against the page source. The date of each check is given with the source.
Verifiable statements with a source, not a rating. We publish no ethics score of our own — for that, follow the external link.

What we can document
- 501 Original, dark wash, style 005013737, €60 on sale from €119.95, checked on 31 July 2026
- Material 100% cotton
- “Hergestellt in Pakistan” in the “Composition and care” panel
- Zero hits for countryOfOrigin and countryOfAssembly; structured data present, without an origin field
- Corporate supplier map as an embedded Open Supply Hub view
- 518 listed facilities with names and full addresses
What we cannot
- Which of the 518 facilities made the jeans we checked — product statement and list are not linked
- The founding year; “1873” appears on the page but refers there to the introduction of the 501
- Ownership; not named on the pages checked
- We could not retrieve the pages ourselves — the shop refuses our requests

A garment is made across several countries. The label almost always names only one of them. Which one, and what falls away in the process.
We asked twenty brands across four groups the same question: does the product page say where the item was made? The answer has nothing to do with price — and that is the real story.
Questions readers ask
Where are Levi's 501 made?
The pair we checked names Pakistan, in the “Composition and care” panel. Other models may come from other countries.
Is there a factory list?
Yes, as an Open Supply Hub map with 518 facilities, each with a name and a full address.
Can a pair be traced to a facility?
No. The product page names a country, the list names facilities — there is no connection between the two.
Is the origin in the structured data?
No. It is present but carries no origin field.
