What you see
A striped shirt in pure cotton, €80. Under “Origin” there is first a paragraph about traceability: suppliers are required to report, with every order, all facilities involved — from yarn to finished garment, internal and external factories alike, and the intermediaries at every step.
And then comes the result of all that effort, in one line:

One country. After a paragraph that speaks of the whole chain.
What sits behind the page
The brand knows more, and it has recorded it. In the data behind the product page sit three production stages, each named separately:

None of it is displayed. What remains visible is the summary line alone.
That is a case of its own in this research. At most houses the disclosure is missing because it is missing. Here it exists, is maintained and structured — and is not shown.
Why that is frustrating
Three stages with a country each is precisely the disclosure we singled out Pull&Bear for — same owner, same format, but there it is visible on the page.
In this case all three stages sit in the same country, so the difference looks small. It is not: the field is built so that a different country could stand at every step. That is exactly when it would matter — and exactly then it would still be invisible.
A field that only reveals something when nobody is looking reveals nothing.
And for machines?
Nothing either. The data sheet behind the page, from which search engines and comparison services draw their details, carries no origin field. The three-stage record sits in a data block of the brand’s own, not in the format that gets read.
So the disclosure exists three times over and is invisible once: not in the summary, not in the standard format, only in the page’s inner workings.
Where the disclosure ends
The facilities. We found no public factory list.
Founding year and place. Not documented on the brand or group pages we checked; all that is stated is that the brand joined the group in the nineties.
How we checked
We went through the product page by hand on 1 August 2026, opening every collapsible panel individually. All quotations appear in the original wording. The shirt we checked carries reference 2002/278.
