What the section contains

On 30 July 2026 we read the “composition and care” panel of a Stradivarius t-shirt, reference 6653/264/550. Its complete content reads: “Outer / 100% cotton / 14182835 / Do not dry clean.”

Material, an internal number without explanation, a care instruction. No country of manufacture, no traceability section, no certificate details.

The comparison inside its own group

At Pull&Bear, “traceability” splits the origin across three stages — weaving, dyeing and printing, garment making. At Bershka the section is expressly headed “composition, care instructions and origin” and names the country in plain text.

All three belong to Inditex and run the same shop technology. Two show the statement, one does not. That removes the explanation that it is down to the system — and leaves the same conclusion as with the luxury houses: it is a decision made brand by brand.

And of the three, it is the most expensive that says the least.

Thinner on material claims too

Pull&Bear and Bershka name the certifier and its number for certified fibres — “Certified by Intertek 193341” — and quantify the shares. In the same place Stradivarius carries a bare number without any explanation.

What that number means the page does not say. We reproduce it without interpreting it.

What this does not mean

It does not mean Stradivarius manufactures worse.

A missing statement permits no conclusion about what lies behind it. We examined no garment and saw no production.

And we read one item.

Whether other product groups carry the statement we do not know — on the second article our research covered, it was likewise absent.
