What the page says
The Small 16 Bag in satinated calfskin, $4,650. Under “Details” the page names the material: calfskin, lambskin lining, gold-tone hardware.
And that is it. No country, no town, no facility — neither in the visible text nor in the data sheet that sits behind the page for search engines.
We went through the page in full and opened every collapsible panel. The result is rare in how unambiguous it is: nothing.
The comparison that stings
On the same day we checked a t-shirt costing €14.99. Its page names not merely a country but the factory — with name, full address and the size of the workforce. It is set out at H&M.
A price difference of about three hundred times, and the disclosure runs the other way.
This is not an isolated case but the core of the whole research: the depth of disclosure has nothing to do with price. A boot costing a few hundred euros names the town at Velasca. Jeans at thirty euros name the country at Levi's. Here, at $4,650, not a line.
What that does not mean
It does not mean the bag is poorly made. We have not had one in our hands and say nothing about the workmanship.
Nor does it mean something is being concealed that ought not to be. There is no duty to state the country of manufacture online, and many houses in this segment do not.
What it means is this: anyone who wants to know before buying where this piece was made will not find out here. Not on the page, and not from a list — we found none.

Founded in 1945 in Paris by Céline Vipiana and her husband Richard. Part of LVMH since 1996; an Arnault family stake existed from 1987. Creative direction has been with Michael Rider since 2025, whose first show took place on 6 July 2025.
